Blessing Church was founded in 1999 with a vision to share the gospel throughout the community and become an evangelism-centered church. We open our doors to the community and create meaningful points of connection so that people can experience the church’s love and passion for service. We also continue to explore how the gospel can be integrated into community outreach. To develop more effective approaches to evangelism, Blessing Church has learned from churches in Taiwan and around the world, including the cell-group models of Faith Community Baptist Church in Singapore and Yoido Full Gospel Church in Korea, as well as the Double-Wing Nurturing System of Poongsung Church in Korea. By studying these approaches, drawing on years of evangelistic experience, and building on Pastor Yang Hsi-ju’s biblical understanding of the church, discipleship, and the value and message of the gospel, Blessing Church developed the Happiness Group model.
Our Story
In 2012, we launched a church-wide evangelism movement through Happiness Groups and saw remarkable results. From 2012 to 2018, annual baptisms grew steadily from 275 to 1,200. After leading people to Christ, the next vital task is to develop disciples who will continue to bear fruit and make disciples. Drawing on years of experience with Happiness Groups, we continually refined our strategies for evangelism and team training. In 2019, this led to the creation of the Happiness Discipleship System—a balanced framework of theory and practice that effectively equips disciples to share the gospel. We thank God that, through Happiness Group seminars and intensive training programs in Taiwan and around the world, many churches have adopted this evangelistic strategy, sparking a renewed passion for sharing the gospel. This church-building system empowers every disciple to participate, multiply, and respond to God’s calling. We sincerely pray that God will use the Happiness Group strategy to bless people of every nation.
